We’re not Cyclopes.
Nor are we cave monsters from Homer’s Odyssey,

and as such, we don’t have just one eye.

When we look at “normal” photographs, it’s as if we’re always using just one eye. That’s why I enjoy shooting in stereo.

Stereoscopic photography allows the brain to assign depth to the various planes of the scene
and greatly amplifies the transition from the “visual field” to the “visual world” for the observer.

When the photographer manages to transfer creativity to the spectator, then, in my opinion, it’s a good photo.
