bio

Alberto Fanelli is the founder of Fanelli Factory.
His journey into the world of photography, a lifelong passion, began at the age of 15 when he received his first single-lens reflex camera, a Yashica FX3.
During his university years, studying information sciences, he traveled extensively exploring Europe, Asia, and the Americas, and deepening his passion for portrait and reportage photography.
After graduating in 1991, he explored innovations in the field of artificial neural networks and co-founded one of Italy’s first internet companies in 1995.
However, in 2007, he decided to leave the IT sector to pursue photography full-time.
This transition marked the beginning of an intense period of growth and exploration in the field of photography. His unwavering dedication catapulted him onto the international photography scene, making rapid progress in both artistic expression and technical skills.

His work has received recognition in prestigious Italian and international publications, and he held a month-long solo exhibition at the National Museum of Singapore. In addition to conventional photography, he experimented with various visual techniques, such as long-term timelapses, documenting, for example, the urban transformation of Milan’s “ex Fiera” area in a 15-year timelapse project with CityLife, which garnered millions of views on social media.
Since 2010, he has dedicated time and energy to perfecting the 3D stereoscopic photographic technique, developing his shooting techniques and styles, designing and building the necessary equipment in-house.

Today, through Fanelli Factory, he continues to explore new ways of storytelling in an ever-evolving and growing world.
